Kim has been messing around with cats' minds since last century. A 1982 Sydney graduate, she narrowed her focus in 1990 with an MANZCVS in Cat Medicine, and then broadened it again in 2004 with an MANZCVS in animal behaviour. She worked with the (Sydney) Cat Protection Society in the early 1990's, and was the first to routinely spay and castrate kittens at 7 - 10 weeks old for them. She has presented at ANZCVS College Science Week a number of times, on feline topics. She has discovered that forewarning owner of kitten and cat instinctive behaviours, results in a better bond and greater satisfaction with ownership for owner and cat. She is the proud owner and director of the Chatswood Cat Palace in Sydney which is a 'cat only clinic' as well as a cat boarding facility with a cat café on site.
