Up to 40% of cats and 41% of dogs are overweight globally*. Weight is a BIG topic that we want to support clinics in talking about with pet owners, so that together we can create a better world for pets.

We know that weight conversations with pet owners in clinical practice can be challenging. We also know that pet owner compliance is key to a pet's weight loss journey, but as a profession, we are still discovering the best way to support and motivate pet owners.

Join Clinical Nurse Specialist Kate Berridge and Dr. Corey Regnerus as they discuss how veterinary professionals can support appropriate client interactions to coach pet owners during their pet's weight loss journey. The session will be focused on understanding and overcoming common challenges faced with pet owner compliance in clinic scenarios across Australia and New Zealand.

* RC Weight Management Review; 2019 (10.2); based on review of Waltham Centre for Pet Nutrition and University of Liverpool research
